Blue Cloud to invest INR ₹400 crores in Andhra Pradesh healthcare

Fri, 21st Nov 2025

Blue Cloud Softech Solutions has agreed to invest around INR ₹400 crores in the healthcare sector of Andhra Pradesh, through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board. The technology company will establish a major facility, branded as "BluBio," in either Amaravathi or Vishakhapatnam. The development will cover a 30-acre site, forming part of broader efforts to support technological and economic development in the region.

Project scope

The BluBio project is expected to serve as a centre for healthcare technology, leveraging Blue Cloud's expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. The planned facility aims to support initiatives not only within healthcare but also extend into sectors such as defence, finance, and cybersecurity, making use of advanced solutions to streamline processes and improve sector efficiencies.

Job creation

Blue Cloud plans to generate up to 1,200 direct jobs at the BluBio site by 2027. These positions will cover research, development, operations, and administration. In addition to direct employment, the company projects that its investment will lead to roughly 20,000 indirect roles, largely within the supply chain, logistics, services, and ancillary support functions. This wider employment impact is positioned to benefit a broad range of stakeholders across Andhra Pradesh.

Economic impact

The MoU between Blue Cloud and the state government aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a hub for technology-led growth. The project is expected to introduce and model scalable AI integrations for industry, reflecting a strategic approach to raising standards in productivity, efficiency, and security. The investment, which will be deployed on a phased basis, also supports the state's wider ambition to attract technology-focused businesses and investors.

Government role

The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) will act as a key facilitator for the entry and establishment of Blue Cloud in Andhra Pradesh. According to the agreement, the APEDB will coordinate with government agencies to accelerate the process for necessary approvals, clearances, and to help smooth operational issues. Allocation of land and the provision of incentives will be handled by designated government departments, observing established regulatory frameworks to ensure transparency and compliance.

Agreement framework

The agreement outlines a collaborative structure, ensuring clear responsibilities for both Blue Cloud and government authorities. The focus is on open dialogue and coordination, with the intention of removing bureaucratic barriers and expediting project timelines. The MoU will remain in effect for 12 months and establishes a formal framework for cooperation, though it does not create legally binding obligations for either party.

Leadership perspective

"The signing of this MoU represents a pivotal moment for both Blue Cloud and Andhra Pradesh. By uniting our technological leadership with the state's progressive vision, we are poised to deliver transformative solutions that will redefine innovation and foster inclusive growth," said Tejesh Kodali, Group Chairman, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions.
