Neat expands Indian presence with 190% revenue growth
Neat, a Norwegian video technology company, is expanding its presence in India to meet the increasing demand for hybrid work solutions amidst the country's infrastructure growth and digital transition.
According to Manu Sharma, Regional Director of India and SAARC at Neat, India has become the company's fifth-largest market worldwide due to its significant growth in the region, noting a 190% year-over-year revenue increase in FY2024. Neat has expanded its partner network significantly, growing from two to over 200 partners in just four years.
"With many large Indian corporations operating across multiple cities and overseas, there is a strong demand for efficient collaboration tools that can seamlessly connect their distributed teams," Sharma stated. He further explained that companies are increasingly investing in technology to support remote-first environments, creating equitable meeting experiences for employees regardless of their location.
Neat's approach includes strategic partnerships to bolster its market presence in India. The company has integrated with 40 authorised partners and 200 transactional partners and has engaged in strategic collaborations with companies such as Inflow Technologies and Ingram Micro India. These partnerships aim to leverage local market expertise and extend Neat's reach across the country.
Rajesh Kumar, Senior Vice President of Inflow Technologies, commented on the partnership, saying, "Video collaboration is no longer just an IT decision—it's about creating meaningful workplace experiences, from the design and set-up of meeting spaces ensuring seamless and inclusive participation for remote workers. Through our partnership, we're combining Inflow's deep market knowledge with Neat's innovative technology to help Indian organisations rethink how teams connect, not only addressing technical requirements, but also employee and workplace management needs."
Neat's technology is also implemented by major Indian enterprises like Make My Trip and integrates with global entities like Microsoft and Zoom. Gurpreet Singh, IT Director at MakeMyTrip, highlighted the importance of the quality of collaboration technology, stating, "When teams collaborate, the quality of the experience directly impacts the meeting's success. Complicated technology that requires multiple devices or steps to connect, combined with a poor user experience, can significantly hinder productivity. With its sleek design and integrated technologies, Neat prioritises the user experience, delivering a reliable and distraction-free experience to ensure our teams can do their best work from anywhere."
The company's strategy also involves addressing the needs of small and medium-sized businesses in India, regarded as crucial to the nation's economic growth. Sharma expressed optimism about future opportunities, stating, "The Indian market offers tremendous growth potential for Neat and we expect our opportunities to expand significantly in 2025. Neat remains focused on innovating and evolving our product portfolio and building on our strong partnerships across the country to deliver smart, scalable solutions that empower organisations of all sizes to collaborate seamlessly."
Neat is committed to enhancing workspaces through innovative features such as air quality monitoring sensors, room utilisation analytics, and AI-driven tools like background noise reduction and facial recognition. These solutions are part of Neat's aim to improve workspace performance and enhance user experiences.
The company offers additional services, including workspace design consultations and training programmes. Neat's design excellence has been recognised with multiple Red Dot Awards, and its market resilience was highlighted by Frost & Sullivan, acknowledging the company as an industry leader despite macroeconomic challenges.
