Optiva & GDi partner to enhance telecom operator services
Cloud telecoms company Optiva has entered a strategic partnership with digital tech provider, GDi, to help telecom operators leverage data and GenAI. The collaboration is set to allow telecom operators a faster time to market, alongside enhancing digital customer experiences. GDi's customer portfolio includes big-name telecom operators such as A1 Austria, Deutsche Telecom, and Vodafone.
The joint venture is set to provide communication service providers (CSPs) with pre-integrated and tested Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operation Support Systems (OSS) software. Integrated BSS and OSS provide holistic solutions, vital as the telecom industry embraces GenAI opportunities, enabling the effective unification and integration of billing and customer data with network management and operations support data.
Both Optiva and GDi boast considerable industry experience, having collaborated with large network operators, MVNOs, and new market entrants worldwide. The new partnership will expedite innovative new services' market time for joint clients and optimise the upgrading and modernisation of legacy BSS and OSS systems to match customer expectations and bolster operational efficiencies.
The collaboration between Optiva and GDi will offer development frameworks, integration with existing systems and third-party applications, pre-built connectors, TM Forum Open APIs, and standardised protocols. These provisions will promote seamless data exchange and interoperability while remaining in full compliance with industry regulations and data security standards.
"GDi and Optiva are joining forces to bring CSPs best-of-breed comprehensive OSS/BSS solutions and implement IT support systems faster and more efficiently with all needed functionalities. The collaboration opens doors for many future joint projects, further enhancing the range of solutions available to CSPs. This partnership is driven by a shared commitment to innovation and customer success in the telecommunications industry," stated Dominik Periskic, Executive Director of Product Management & Marketing of GDi.
Michele Campriani, CRO of Optiva, shared a similar sentiment, stating, "Optiva is proud to partner with GDi and offer our customers the maximum value of integrated and tested modern BSS and OSS software. It has never been more important to launch, operate and scale in the most efficient and customer-centric manner, and our partnership empowers our customers to achieve those goals."
