ACT Fibrenet launches AI mesh Wi-Fi plans for Indian homes

Tue, 12th Aug 2025

ACT Fibrenet has introduced an AI-powered mesh Wi-Fi solution for home internet users in India.

The service, known as ACT SmartWiFi, integrates mesh technology routers enhanced by artificial intelligence, aiming to deliver improved Wi-Fi performance in all areas of a user's residence, regardless of their location or the number of connected devices.

ACT Fibrenet's mesh solution utilises two or more routers to create a single, seamless network across an entire household. The company states that implementing AI into the mesh system ensures stronger coverage and uninterrupted connectivity, making it possible to move from one room to another without a loss in signal or speed.

Features and pricing

The mesh plans are intended for homes larger than 1200 sq. ft., in line with the company's focus on consistent coverage for larger living spaces. Price points for the new AI-powered plans range from INR 799 to INR 2000 per month, depending on the city and plan chosen, which translates to a range designed to accommodate a broad customer base.

According to ACT Fibrenet, the AI-driven mesh routers introduce several features that respond to modern digital requirements, such as adjustable network configurations to eliminate dead zones and maintain steady speeds. The routers support seamless roaming, allowing users to move between rooms without experiencing buffering or connection drops. Additional functionalities include self-healing nodes to automatically reroute network traffic during congestion or node failure, smart layout detection that adapts coverage based on home characteristics like walls and furniture, and the ability to automatically connect each device to the optimal frequency band.

Purpose and adaptability

ACT Fibrenet has positioned the mesh plans as suitable for contemporary households where multiple members might simultaneously require reliable, high-speed internet for work, entertainment, education, and connected devices. The solution is promoted as an answer to the rising demand for stable, adaptive internet services as homes become increasingly connected.

"Today's digital homes demand more than just speed; they need intelligence, adaptability, and seamless coverage," said Ravi Karthik, Chief Marketing Officer, ACT Fibrenet.

"We are pleased to introduce our ACT SmartWiFi with Mesh that is made for you. It not only understands your space, learns how you live, but also delivers Wi-Fi that simply works everywhere and for everyone in the house. This isn't just a connectivity upgrade, it's a lifestyle transformation for homes that rely on uninterrupted work, entertainment, and smart living."

The mesh routers are described as including intelligent features that adapt to each user's environment. The intention is that the network recognises how the household operates and responds accordingly, supporting consistent speeds and device connectivity as digital activity levels fluctuate throughout the day.

Expansion and user base

ACT Fibrenet operates across more than 30 cities in India, with a stated customer base of 2.4 million users. The company has established a reputation for providing wired broadband connections and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the deployment of these new mesh solutions.

With the continued proliferation of connected devices in Indian households, the company's mesh solution represents an expansion of its high-speed internet offerings. Increasing numbers of devices per home, along with remote work and online learning, have contributed to greater demands for consistent and reliable home networking.

The company highlights its commitment to customer support and service reliability as it introduces the AI-powered mesh plans to a wider audience. The mesh solution adds to ACT Fibrenet's existing suite of broadband offerings, designed to suit a variety of usage profiles and budgets.
