Redington has signed a distribution partnership with Vehere in India, adding Vehere's network detection and response product to its cybersecurity portfolio.

Under the agreement, Redington becomes Vehere's official distributor in India. The companies are targeting enterprise customers, government organisations and channel partners, with Redington extending the reach of Vehere's platform through its reseller and systems integrator network.

Vehere develops AI-based network detection and response software that monitors network activity and identifies suspicious behaviour. Its platform is designed to detect threats including ransomware, advanced persistent threats, insider activity and zero-day exploits across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.

For Redington, the deal expands an existing cybersecurity portfolio as customers manage increasingly complex technology estates. Many organisations now operate a mix of on-premises infrastructure, cloud services, remote devices and connected equipment, increasing the number of systems security teams must monitor.

The partnership also gives Vehere broader access to India's channel market. Redington operates in more than 40 markets, has more than 450 brand associations and works with over 75,000 channel partners, giving vendors access to a wide base of resellers and integrators.

Channel reach

The companies are framing the agreement around distribution scale and local support. Redington's service offering includes implementation and post-sales support, which it will combine with Vehere's product to help partners deliver cybersecurity projects for customers running both traditional infrastructure and cloud-based systems.

That channel focus reflects the structure of India's cybersecurity market, where distributors, resellers and systems integrators account for much of the activity rather than direct sales alone. Vendors often rely on those networks to reach large enterprises, mid-sized businesses and public sector buyers across different regions.

Sridhar S, Executive Vice President at Redington, said the partnership would deepen the company's security offering while adding an India-developed product to its portfolio.

"Redington has evolved in our journey to play the role of a technology ecosystem orchestrator today, equipping our partners with a range of solutions to offer to end customers which meets the demands of the growing digital universe. With Vehere's AI-powered Network Detection and Response (NDR) platform, we add another strong and advanced security solution to our existing comprehensive cybersecurity portfolio that caters to the on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments, placing Redington in a unique position which only a few can match. This strategic partnership with Vehere strengthens our cybersecurity portfolio and further deepens our support towards the "Make in India" vision. Our partners now have access to a critical capability in their arsenal and Vehere benefits from being embedded in early conversations to drive positive cyber security customer outcomes. With end-to-end support, our goal is to unlock access to best-in-class security capabilities that defend against today's advanced and evasive threats," he said.

Market push

Vehere has roots in cyber network intelligence and has worked with defence, intelligence and commercial users, according to company information. Its customer base includes analysts in sectors such as telecommunications, financial services and smart cities.

The agreement forms part of Vehere's push to expand in India through indirect sales channels. For cybersecurity firms, distribution deals are often important because deployments typically depend on partners that can package software with consulting, managed services and response support.

Sanjay Bhardwaj, Managing Director for India and SAARC at Vehere, said the partnership is intended to increase the company's market reach.

"The partnership with Redington marks a significant step in expanding Vehere's reach across enterprise channel partners and customers in India. As a proven distribution leader, Redington's depth, strong partner relationships, and last-mile connectivity to thousands of resellers and system integrators provide the scale and market access needed to accelerate Vehere's next phase of growth in India," Bhardwaj said.

India's cybersecurity market has attracted greater attention as organisations move more workloads to the cloud, adopt hybrid working models and face a broader range of attacks. That has increased demand for tools that can identify unusual traffic patterns and lateral movement inside networks, especially as security teams try to reduce blind spots across multiple environments.

Under the agreement, channel partners and systems integrators in India will be able to offer Vehere's product through Redington's distribution network. The tie-up is intended to create new business opportunities for partners selling cybersecurity products in the market.
