Scality, a leading data storage software provider, has announced the promotion of Eric LeBlanc to the position of Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales and General Manager of ARTESCA. His scope will include driving channel sales beyond EMEA and Asia-Pacific, adhering to a global perspective that includes the Americas.
In his new role, LeBlanc will deploy his expertise more extensively to shape repeatable channel sales strategies, strengthen partnerships with distributors, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) around the world. Additionally, he will spearhead innovative channel programmes and stimulate market expansion.
Under his leadership, the focus will also be on achieving sustainable business gains for the channel and ARTESCA customers. "A sleeping giant has awakened. ARTESCA has supercharged our channel business, giving VARs a quick-turn, repeatable revenue stream with good margins," says LeBlanc. The channel-focused strategy of the company now engages more customers with enterprise-grade cyber resiliency and an affordable, easy-to-deploy object storage solution.
Since his appointment at Scality in 2020, LeBlanc has revamped the company's partner programme concentrating on repeatable, quick-turn solutions deployable in smaller mid-enterprise accounts. His strategic actions have contributed to 95+% of the new logos added to Scality's customer portfolio. LeBlanc also recruited and onboarded over 100 VARs with a new accreditation programme and enticing incentives like the ARTESCA challenge, which awards prizes and cash for deal registrations and successful business deals.
Scality's Chief Revenue Officer, Peter Brennan, spoke positively of LeBlanc's competence and accomplishments thus far. "Eric has compositely repositioned ARTESCA into a focal point for ransomware protection, purpose-built for our partners...[achieving] a 500% year-over-year product line growth rate—all driven by channel-led business," Brennan says. He voiced his excitement and anticipation for LeBlanc's ability to replicate success across all geographies.
LeBlanc brings to his new role, extensive experience in driving channel strategy, go-to-market execution, and product line growth to fuel partner revenue and help customers achieve success. His previous roles include several channel leadership positions at Infovista, Silver Peak, 3Com, Atos, and Symantec.
